"Fantasy Baseball"

The fantasy Baseball draft has come and gone, and my best friend and I joined a public league of 9 teams. We are playing in a rotiserre league (does that anything to do with chicken?) My team is okay, but with 9 teams drafting 25 players, the talent pool goes quickly! I drafted 5th and with my first pick I took Chase Utley of the Phillies...here's my roster (we had to draft 5 outfielders, a DH, 8 pitchers, and 2 infield bench players plus all the starting spots) Catchers: Matt Wieters and Jorge Posada First Base: Joey Votto Second Base; Chase Utley and Clint Barnes Shortstop: Troy Tulowitzki and Alexi Ramirez Third Base: Alex Rodiguez and Armaris Ramirez Outfield: Curtis Granderson,Nelson Cruz,Michael Bourn,Carlos Quentin,Andre Ethier DH:Luke Scott Pitchers: Jake Peavy,Dan Haren,Felix Hernandez,Yovani Gallardo,Max Scherzer,Wandy Rodriguez,Jonathan Broxton,Joakim Soria and Jon Rauch Let me know what you think! Thank, Andy

"Lefty's Rats week 9"

The Central Maine Darts League season is rolling along with now only 5 weeks left! the Lefty's Rats are firmly in last place and we lost again 8-3.The team shot fairly average as a whole and I think we have checked out on this season and are thinking about horseshoes this summer.

"Lefty's Rats week 8"

The Central Maine Dart League has reached the second part of the season and the Lefty's Rats are in last place going into the week with 28 wins.We are 3 wins behind the team ahead of us.After this week's match we have cemented our last place standing. We lost 9-2! Nobody on our team shoot very well,I do want to point out that I was playing in the nly two games we won and received 5 out of 10 points that I was up for.The season only has 6 weeks left and I think the guys on the team are already looking foward to the summer break and maybe entering the summer horseshoe league.

"Lefty's Rats week 7"

We are at the halfway point of this session of the Central Maine Dart League season. The Lefty's Rats first time in the highest division has been a tough one.I haven't seen the standing recently, but I am sure we are in last place, not sure how many wins behind the next team we are. Last night we were playing either the first or second place team and we were doing pretty good.If fact in the first game of the match,I was playing cricket with Noland, and I shot a round of nine.A round of nine is when you triple three numbers with your three darts in one turn.I tripled the 18,17 and 16! We were leading the match 4-3 and then lost the last 4 games of the match and lost 7-4.Only 7 weeks left and the playoffs then darts will be done until September.I am looking foward to the break!

"Lefty's Rats week 6"

Week 6 of the Central Maine Dart League saw the Lefty's Rats in last place but building momenteum. We've won the past 2 weeks 6-5.That streak came to an end with an 8-3 loss this past Monday. The good news is that everyone who played this Monday won at least one game. With that loss we are firmly in last place and next week marks the halfway point of the season and we'll be playing the first place team.

"Lefty's Rats week 5"

The Lefty's Rats are in last place as we enter week 5 in dart season. We enter the week with a record of 15-29, however we are coming off our first weekly win last week of 6-5.Each week our team plays 4 shooters and 1 person sits out. This was my week to sit out, however, I was there cheering the team on.We were playing at the 20-M Club in Lewiston and the team we were playing was at 18-26 going into the week.We ended up with a 6-5 win! Two weeks in a row with a win. That's the good news, the not so good news is we are still in last place with a record of 21-34...9 weeks left to turn it around and everyone makes the playoffs!

"Lefty's Rats Week 4"

It was a very unusal night during dart league night. The night started with one of our players hitting a deer on the way to the Lisbon Left-Hand Club to shoot darts. He was alright as was his car, unfortunately the police had to destroy the deer.Another shooter on our team, looked at the schedule incorrectly, and went to the wrong place! By some miracle, all of the team ended up at the club to shoot and we won our first match of the season 6-5! We are now 15-25 on the season and who knows what week 5 will bring?

"Lefty's Rats Week 3"

Life in the "A" division has been tough going for the Lefty's Rats. We played against a team filled with top "A" division shooters and while we were close for most of the games we just didn't win any of the games. We finally one the last game of the match and lost 10-1.We are now 9-24 for the season.Like I predicted,we are going to be the Detroit Lions of the dart league!

"Lefty's Rats week two"

Week two of the central Maine Dart League season had the Lefty's Rats playing a famaliar team to the Rats the 20 M Notorius Crew. That team won our division last season. Our team seemed to have low energy last night, maybe it was from all that shoveling! We were losing close game after close game and before you knew it we were losing 6 games to 1. We rallied late winning 3 of the last 4 games and ended up losing 7-4.I ended up playing in all 4 games that we won! GO ME! That makes us 8-14 on the season and more than likely in last place.Week three we'll be at home at the Lisbon Left-Hand Club.

"Rats week one"

Week 1 of the C.M.D.L. (Central Maine Dart League) was this past Monday and the Rats lost 7-4.There were several games that came right down to the end and for the teams first week ever in the highest division in the league we did alright. The highlight of the night was when with 3 darts I hit an 18 ,19 and double bullseye to win the cricket game! I also won the team match by hitting the double 4 out. Next week we are playing at the 20-M club in Lewiston against another tough team. I update the blog each week during the season.
